Frequently Asked Questions
What is your cancellation policy?
Our complete cancellation policy can be accessed by clicking on the following link: https://www.munchinamsterdam.com/cancellation-amendment-policy
Cancellations must be made in writing, by emailing email@example.com or via telephone: +31-6-xxxx
Do I need to print my confirmation letter?
We advise you to print your confirmation letter, simply because it contains our meeting point and directions, which will help you to get there. However, having your confirmation letter isn’t required to join the group, our guide will have your name on our list anyway. But please remember that our emergency contact number +31-6…is always listed on the confirmation letter.
How will I recognize my tour guide?
Your tour guide will be waiting at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starts, with a Munch In Amsterdam sign. You will not miss us!
What languages are your tours in?
Currently, all of our tours are in English.
What do I do if I’m running late?
Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your tour. Our meeting points are well known, we are sure that a friendly local can guide you and if that is not the case, please call our emergency number +31-6….
What does ‘all inclusive’ mean?
It means the tour price listed on our website includes all food and beverages, reservation and entrance fees (if necessary). There won’t be any unpleasant financial surprises on the day of your tour.
Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately not all restaurants accommodate wheelchairs. Please do get in touch with us before you book, however, and please note that guests are responsible for propelling their own chairs – guides will be unable to do this.
Can I bring a stroller with me?
Yes you can.
What should I bring on my tour?
Please walk with your photo ID. Because our tours are walking tours, we would recommend that you wear comfortable shoes. If you’re visiting in warm weather (May – Sep) we recommend that you make the necessary preparations, sunscreen or a hat maybe… During the cooler months we would recommend that you bring a coat and possibly a rain jacket and/or umbrella because our tours run rain or shine. Should there be any weather warning, we will contact you in advance.
What’s the difference between a ‘group’ and a ‘private’ tour?
A group tour is one where you join a group of other travelers and a single guide – our groups are usually around 10-12 people. A private tour, is when you pay to have your own personal tour guide just for you (and your party, maximum 10 persons).
Can I make a last-minute booking?
Sure, you are welcome whenever we have space! However, if it is not available on our website, chances are that the tour is booked or if it is 1 or 2 days within the tour date, please give us a call to see if we have any space left. If you and your party would like a private tour, please give us 10 days heads up.
What payment methods do you accept?
All payment must be made online only (credit card or paypal). Our guides cannot accept cash as payment for your tour.
Should I tip my guide?
If you have a great time during your tour and feel like have you received excellent service from your guide, it is customary to leave a tip at the end of the tour. So it is simply up to you.
If we have not answered your question, in the FAQ list above, please contact us by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Our team will get back to you within 24 hours.
